El don de la dislexia pdf How does a community know if an online exercise program has or has not been effective? What are some possible indicators? What do you think about online exercise programs like FitBlog? Do you think online exercise programs could potentially help with your exercise routine? Product Information Disclaimers Cookies and Privacy Policy It is very challenging to quantify the effectiveness of online education. As noted in a 2004 policy paper by the National Research Council (NRC, 2004), an alternative to evaluating online education is to “study a population that is representative of the target population and evaluate the students in the population.” The population in this study was healthy adults. If a university or other educational institution uses student participation as a measure of its success, then online education should be used as a strategy for reaching a population that is representative of the target population. In this study, outcomes from one online exercise program were analyzed in relation to the students’ abilities, experience, and demographics. Results indicate that the program had the potential to be an effective intervention. The individuals in the program showed significant improvements in muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and aerobic capacity. In addition, the results of the study indicate that the improvement of these specific abilities (relative to a healthy sedentary population) was due to an individual’s own level of participation rather than due to a demographic attribute or level of participation. The program may have shown higher effectiveness if participation levels and demographics of the target population had been more favorable. We welcome the opportunity to examine the program’s effects and disseminate the results of the study in order to help future online exercise programs.
